Create a WhatsApp QR Code with a Prefilled Message

A WhatsApp QR points to a chat destination with an optional prefilled message. Scanning opens the destination; it does not send the message automatically. The visitor decides whether to send it.

Use the international phone number

Choose WhatsApp in QR Studio and enter the country code and phone number for the intended WhatsApp account. For example, the country code is part of the destination, not an optional local dialing prefix. Confirm the account belongs to the business you want visitors to contact.

Write a useful opening message

Add a short message such as a request for information about your service. Keep it generic: the prefilled text and destination can be read from the shared link. Do not put confidential information in a QR that will be displayed publicly.

Test the destination and message

Scan the exported QR on a phone and confirm the correct chat opens with the intended text. Browser and application behavior depends on the device and whether WhatsApp is available. Visitors still need to send the message themselves.

Choose direct chat or a contact page

Use the WhatsApp tool for a direct chat link. Choose a digital business card when you also want to display your card image, call button, email and downloadable contact. If the direct static number changes, replace the printed QR.
